Colophon
How it'sbuilt.
Stack
- Framework
- Next.js 15 (App Router), React 19, TypeScript
- Motion
- GSAP + ScrollTrigger for choreography, Lenis for smooth scroll
- Graphics
- A hand-written WebGL fragment shader (domain-warped noise rendered as contour lines) for the hero
- Hosting
- Vercel, with redirects from every legacy WordPress URL
- Content
- Typed data files, no CMS. Copy, projects and FAQs are edited in code and reviewed in git
Type & colour
- Display
- Inter Tight (SIL Open Font License)
- Accent
- Instrument Serif Italic (SIL Open Font License)
- Labels
- JetBrains Mono (SIL Open Font License)
- Palette
- Ink #0a0b0a, paper #efede6, lime #c8ff3d. Each case study takes a dark shade of the client's own brand colour, measured from their site
The work is real
- Screenshots
- Every portfolio image is captured from the live client site by a script in this repo, then compressed into responsive variants. Nothing is mocked up
- Traffic charts
- Session counts and sparklines come from the clients' Shopify Analytics, shared with permission. Sales figures are deliberately never shown
- Before / after
- Taken from the stores' previous theme previews, not recreated
Performance & access
- Measured
- Lighthouse accessibility and SEO 100 and zero layout shift on every page tested in October 2026
- Images
- Responsive variants, lazy loading below the fold, a week of caching
- Motion
- Respects prefers-reduced-motion. The preloader plays once per session and only on the home page
- Privacy
- Analytics is skipped when a browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal
