Shopify developerin Colorado.
I'm Craig Carda, a Shopify Partner based in Wheat Ridge. I build Shopify and Shopify Plus stores for Colorado brands, and when it helps, I'll sit across the table from you anywhere in the Denver metro.
Under the hood
Shopify, in motion.
- 01
Theme sections
Reusable, merchant-editable sections built in Liquid, so your team can rearrange a page without calling a developer.
- 02
Metafields
Structured product data (materials, specs, warranty) defined once and rendered everywhere it belongs.
- 03
Shopify Functions
Custom discount logic that runs inside Shopify's own checkout infrastructure: fast, and it survives platform upgrades.
- 04
B2B & wholesale
Price lists, payment terms and minimums, so wholesale buyers see their pricing, and retail visitors never do.
Illustrative demo storefront, not a client site.
Based in Wheat Ridge, working statewide
Most of my work happens over screens and shared staging links, so being in Colorado doesn't limit who I work with. It does mean we share a time zone, I can drive to your shop or warehouse for a kickoff, and I understand how a Front Range business actually sells.
I've been a Shopify Partner for over a decade, and I build the whole store myself: design, theme code, apps and integrations. There's no hand-off from a salesperson to a junior team.
The kinds of Colorado brands I build for
Colorado commerce is broader than outdoor gear. The stores in my portfolio include manufacturers that build to order, medical and dental equipment makers, health and wellness brands, and heritage retailers.
- Stealth Chairs: ergonomic chairs built to order in Centennial for audio engineers
- Rocky Mountain Connection: family-owned outdoor apparel in Estes Park since 1947
- Haran Electric Motors: industrial motor sales, repair and service across Colorado
- Dntlworks and Crown Seating: portable dental equipment and ergonomic dental stools
- Igniton: a Shopify Plus supplement brand made in Colorado
Colorado details worth getting right
A few things trip up Colorado merchants more than most states. Sales tax is destination-based, and home-rule cities and special districts add their own rules, so tax settings deserve a real review before launch rather than a default. The state's retail delivery fee also needs handling for qualifying deliveries.
For local businesses, Shopify's local pickup and local delivery options can serve Front Range customers without a courier account, and Shopify POS ties market days, trade shows and a showroom counter into the same inventory as your online store.
How a project runs
We start with a free consultation about your goals, numbers and constraints. You get a written scope with a fixed price or a clear estimate. I build on a staging link you can open from week one, then handle the cutover, redirects and monitoring, and stay on for improvements after launch.
Proof,not promises.
Goodquestions.
Are you a Shopify Partner based in Colorado?
Yes. Modern Evolution Design is based in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, and I've been a Shopify Partner for over a decade. You can see the partner profile in the Shopify Partner Directory.
Can we meet in person in the Denver area?
Yes. Most of the work happens remotely, but I'm happy to meet in person for kickoffs, workshops and launches anywhere in the Denver metro.
How much does a Shopify store cost?
It depends on scope: a focused theme customization is a very different project from a custom build with integrations. After a free consultation you get a written scope with a fixed price or a clear estimate.
Do you only work with Colorado businesses?
No. I work with brands across the country. Being local simply means in-person meetings are an option and I understand Colorado-specific details like sales tax and local delivery.
Can you take over or fix an existing Shopify store?
Yes. I regularly audit and improve existing stores: speed, theme cleanup, app bloat, checkout issues and SEO. After a short audit I'll tell you honestly whether to fix, redesign or rebuild.
